My daughter Sariah has been moved to Eastbourne Hospital instead of the Birthing Centre in Crowborough. Does anyone know if Eastbourne has a special maternity Unit? I would appreciate your positive thoughts for her. Thank you.

Eastbourne has a consultant-led unit, Crowborough has a midwife-led one.

There have been big campaigns to keep Eastbourne unit open.

I hope all goes well.

Thanks Gwen for clarifying that about Eastbourne, she was supposed to be going to Crowborough as they have a birthing pool there.

She´s gone to Eastbourne cos her blood pressure was dangerously high, contractions every six minutes. I feel so far away... but her OH is with her. Shouldn´t be too long now.

Just received text to say they´ve sent her home!
Pains still 6 mins. She´s gone to bed. So guess BP is under control.

Julie Ann you made me laugh

Brenda, no she doesn´t know sex but would like a boy. I use pendulum dowsing and I got a boy, I have got it right the last 12 babies I´ve dowsed, but the other night I dreamt she had a girl, so I don´t know! I´m confused !!! I dowsed 19th for date but my OH got 20th!

Hope your daughter can get some sleep now to prepare herself, probably didn't get much rest in the hospital. I had a really tiring day before I went into labour and it made things so much harder. Don't think I ever caught up with that lost sleep lol
