Got back from Tenerife at 2AM this morning. had a great time, got a lovely tan. Missing the sun and feeling the cold, done a load of washing and been to Tesco, back to reality!!!


Have I missed anything momentous while I have been away. Who has left/rejoined etc??

A had an argument with B, C poked their nose in and was told to butt out by D, E lost the plot and went off on a tangent upsetting A, B and D. C started a seperate argument with F the thread got wooshed and peace returned to the boards.....All in all pretty much board life as normal :). Pleased you had a good holiday

Gwyn, bet Ann is devastated to have missed the April Snow LOL.

You already know that you missed my new flat. It was a bit of a palaver but we got there in the end. And what a state it was in too. Wallpaper peeling off the walls (of which there was two layers through the whole flat except the cupboard). The bath (which is fortunately going) has a really bad yellow tidemark which leaving sitting in bleach overnight didn't shift and there's a big hole in the wall in the kitchen, which we pretend not to notice LOL.

And then you missed me having to go FIVE whole days without net access... it was tramatising, trumatising and traumautising all in one, hun. Honestly, I'm still recovering. ;-)

But great fun to do the flat as you want I am sure and you got there in the end. How big a hole and are they going to fix it for you? Can you cover it with a picture or something temporarily?

We saw there was snow and were glad we were not in UK, although I doubt it reached Gloucester. And i was not a bit sorry to miss it.

The hole was only smallish until we tried to fill it with filler and the plaster just crumbled like sand so it's now a good size, maybe 4 inches long, couple of inches high. I've not reported it as my bro is going to sort it out. I'd only have to wait months for the council to do a bodge job. Unfortunately it's really low on the wall so a picture is out of the question.

You're right, it's been great to do it as I like, my bro has done a lovely laminate floor and the bedroom turned out better than I ever could have imagined. I'm having to wait where the bathroom is concerned as I'll be getting a wet room when ever the council decide to do that. We're also getting new kitchens in these flats in the summer, so the man came round and I got to design exactly how I wanted it, so it will be perfect for me. :-)

Still need to finish the living room, hall and my cupboard (which I can't get into and can now understand why the previous tenants never did anything to it LOL).

BTW, I'm feeling very cold so I'm very jealous of your break in tenerife, lovely tan but I bet you're feeling chilly now.
