and got into a right mess even before I put any paper on the wall.
I was mixing up the paste in a bucket and lifted it off the side to take up stairs when whoosh the paste fell out the bottom of the bucket (it had a crack in it that I hadnt noticed)and the paste splattered all over me,the kitchen floor, the cupboards, fridge etc.
Well have you ever tried to clear paste up while standing in it............very dangerous lol.I was slipping and sliding all over the place ,even did the splits -never done them before- at the same time as trying to wipe up the bloomin paste that decided to start thickening on my floor-God it took me almost an hour and a million gallons of water to get rid of it all.Left in my bucket were a few lumpy bits of paste!!!!!!!

So anyone want to hire me,rates very cheap and can guarantee a good floor show-literally

Angie !!

It seems that DIY and your goodself may not be best friends.

But, to your great advantage, I just happened to be passing by.

Why not entrust the papering of your room to me next time ?

I have first call on the off cuts from the last Lord Chancellor's fancies and I can offer you an expert response to your desire for style and sophistication, at the most agreeable cost.

No need to worry about being knee deep in paste.

For I and my junior associate pride ourselves in the organised and tidy way in which we address each assignment.

I guarantee that at the end of each day of our work you will not be needing to don wellie boots to make your way to bed. For if our day's work should not be finished to our exacting standards then you can rely upon our guiding hands to ensure you safely to your peaceful slumbers.

For an all in one price I can quote you for wallpapering, dog/cat proof painted woodwork, soundproofing for whatever unsocial sounds be your fancy, lighting to suit your everchanging whims, and a selection of tasteless portraits from McFly to George Clooney.

Please call upon me soonest.

Mick

Ah Angie hope you're all clean and dry now.
Hope you don't mind me posting this but your thread was so funny lol ;O)

When Father papered the parlour
You couldn't see him for paste
Dabbing it here! dabbing it there!
Paste and paper everywhere
Mother was stuck to the ceiling
The children stuck to the floor
I never knew a blooming family
So 'stuck up' before.

Mick my good man-(is that abbreviated from Michael)do you have any samples from any of the Royal Houses-I rather fancy a regal look, nothing too ostentatious but I do have some royal nobility amongst my ancestors and I really feel I must pay homage to them by incorporating a little of their heritage within my Tudor style(genuine not mock) detached house with red crete print driveway and antique cast iron lamp to the right of my royal blue front door. We (the royal we) have standards to maintain within our select cul de sac (unadopted,we dont want the council owning OUR road) and therefore could you call on me at your convenience, but particularly when Mrs Fortesque next door is in and look me over to see if you can accomodate me?

Thankyou so much

Mrs Angelina Ballerina-Windsor

PS do you have the royal crest on your transport?
