Well she looks proper silly!! She is smaller than Azzie now!

Az is completely freaked by her and won't go near, which Clic's will see as a bonus! ;o)

Am so sorry, Diana... I read the title and was giggling before I even started to read, lol!!

I had a lovely Persian years ago, and she just did not like being brushed down one side... so that side was regularly knotted, and an absolute nightmare, I used to use one of those corn things to give her a sort of razor cut when it got too bad... it used to pull tight under her *forearm* and hurt her, which was when she would let me at it. The other side she always looked wonderful!!

Hermie is a tart... he only has to see the brush in our hands and he has leapt up, rolled over, everything bared to the world while we brush him, lol!!

Poor Clics..... as if she hasn't had enough trauma, bless her... but it is so difficult to brush a cat that doesn't want it, isn't it?

Love

Daff xxx

Hi Pink, had to admit I laughed. Just wondering about Azzie's reaction to a Lion cut Clic lol

I have a wide toothed comb from Avon, it has a handle and then teeth along half of it but they are specially shaped to get through tangles so easier to hold and use than an afro comb and a little gentler too I think. I also have a wide toothed comb with a handle, from Superdrug, and either of those would be easier to hold and use than the conventional afro combs that you hold at the top, I think.
I hope you can get her to like the grooming so this doesn't have to happen again, an expensive job and a blow to her street cred too, bless her.
Have you got an old fleece sweater or something you can cut a sleeve out of, cut holes for her legs and pull it over her head, cuff end round her neck. It would keep her from the cold till you could get something else, depending on how long it lasted and how fast the fur grows back. Cut both sleeves off and you have one worn, one in the wash lol Or you will have to find somewhere that sells puppy clothing, I saw some in a store in Norwich recently, can't remember where!

Pink, We had the same problem with one of our Cats, We solved the problem with lots of grooming with a Comb which people use if they have "Afro Style" Hair. **M**.

Your lad sounds like Clic's........ but because I thought I was being nice by not grooming her as often its got to this stage!! She is normally shaved once a year but never has it been like this so I know they won't have made the decision lightly!

I won't be nice again...... she will be groomed daily!!

I have 3 long-haired cats - all have different textures. Two of them never get knots - but the black one gets in a terrible state and I had him shaved last year - thankfully not all his body, just his belly.

He usually comes in with slugs or sticky buds in his fur - which I dont always see and remove in time.

Hi Pink - as you're there - I hope you had a good time on your hols - and did you get my pm some weeks ago?

PinkDiana

PinkDiana Report 25 Mar 2008 12:20

She's a long haired moggy that has matted fur so badly underneath that the vet recommends starting afresh!!

And yes I will have to get her something to wear but how I'll get it on her with only 3 legs will be an experience!
