Last night I had an experience which has shaken me up a lot.I am convinced I experienced something paranormal. I knew i would awake today to certain news and i did. I dont want to post on the board for fear of upsetting bereaved people.

Could anyone who has experienced something paranormal or is an empath, please pm me.

Caz, know you are trying to not upset people. But that is what we do on here work with those who have passed on. Depends what you call "paranormal". If it is the dead contacting you, then for me and a lot of members on here then it is quite normal, especially as we are doing this kind of research. I have had several of my ancestors "appear" to me, and also a dear friend. My aunt has a specific ancestor which comes to her and strokes her forehead when she is stressed. I wish a few more would come especially those I´m desperately hunting for!!

I have heard my grandad's voice really clearly and have had a few dreams that were vivid and years later I can still recall them in detail.

I was in a bad accident and I screamed for Mum................at that moment, miles away, she said to the rest of my family she knew something had happened to me.

Were these things ESP, imagination or deceased loved ones "visiting"?

I have no idea, but whatever they were I was comforted by them.:))

There is a lot of things on earth that we do not understand - perhaps because a lot of us would be very frightened by it.

I have heard of angels visiting when people are really low and very sad - I would like to think that would be true. My neighbour says she sees her dead husband lots of times. I have told her that if he is in the room when I am in the house to please not let me know! LOL

I also think that we do not "use" our body or brains to their full capacity - I am convinced we are capable of much more.

I can dream of disasters - not always - I have mentioned this before on another thread - to me its frightening to be able to do that so choose to ignore it and not pursue it any further.

How many of us think of a person and low and behold the phone rings and it is them on the other line? A friend of mine's work colleague picks up the phone and says hello so-and-so, before the phone is properly to her ears - she does not realise how often she does it. - It spooks my friend out.

I have only had one strange thing. After my Mum died when I was 8, at night, even with eyes shut I could see two huge revolving spirals in front of me and hear Mum saying my name.

Caz,My grandaughter was at the park with all her friends.It started to get dark so she started to make her way home,the quick way.She was walking down the lane,when she saw a figure standing at the end.Not too worried as she lives in a small villiage where everyone knows everyone.As she got up close it was dressed all in black and had a hood on.It started to walk towards her and then disappeared through her.Time she got home my daughter said grandaughter was hysterical.This was last year and to this day will not speak about it. Hello all, I have decided to post what happened as I do it with a loving heart and will delete if anyone is upset, { yes Dizzy, please tell Stu} I would like advice.

I have always suffered with nightmares but what happened last night was very different. I woke at 3 am, had struggled to sleep but was fast asleep.I was turned in towards Graeme, I sensed a young man next to me.It felt peaceful, then I felt arms hugging me, a totally physical experience.

I was terrified because the sensation was utterly real, i felt the pressure of arms hugging me.

As my son Josh, was at a party, i instantly felt concerned for his safety. I said to graeme, once i had recovered enough to speak, that someone had died, i feared close to me.I fell asleep after an hour.

My daughter went on msn at 11am and said ' Mum a lad of 20 was killed in a car accident around the corner from us at 2am' We dont know the name yet but this is a small town and people are wondering who as everyone knows everyone.

Did I have an empathic reaction to feelings at that time? It has affected me deeply.

I have a habit of dreaming about plane crashes, and a few times ive heard on the news the next day that a plane had crashed. sometimes however I hear nothing.

Twice Ive heard someone calling my name clearly as I was relaxing in bed. I wasn't asleep but felt very relaxed. I diddnt recognise the voice but it was clear. To this day I cannot tell the difference if it was a voice inside my head or came from outside.

I just wish more was said than just my name :o))

Used to sit in an open circle, once during meditation I was in deep relaxation when I clearly felt the pressure of fingers on my shoulder moving. I woke up & everyone else had their eyes closed still, medium included. A short time later they all came back and was awake, the medium took one look at me & told me my spirit guide said sorry for coming in too close & giving me a fright !

My nan also saw her mum and spoke to her in the night , she was told the old lady next door was going to pass over as her husband had come to meet her. Next morning it was confirmed the lady had passed in the night. Grandad heard nan talking, and the bed moving but couldn't wake himself up.

Caz, I had goose bumps when I read about that crash from last night and for some reason thought of you. Very strange. I know Josh is a couple of years younger than that but all the same you were the first thought.

I still don't think they've named him yet, looking at the bbc news site.

Liz, I have never been so profoundly affected, i was part of something and felt i moved to a higher plane, I also saw my daughter Abi, in a dream, followed by a girl who turned and said' Im your daughter too'

I lost Williams twin girl at 17 weeks, maybe i was on a level of receptiveness i have never experienced before,
