Funnily enough, Deanna, he will be able to keep in touch by email. Modern technology, ain't it wonderful. Can also write by snail mail and I think I will do that. I'll write often - thanks for the suggestion.

He has mine Sue.... I have been in your position ans it ain't fun.

Try not to worry too much and send him loads of letters.
Remember that they don't always arrive on time so make sure he has something everytime the post comes around.

I got a letter from my boy once which said.... "mum are you not talking to me? I've had no mail for ages!"..... broke my heart.. I had sent one nearly everyday.

It was hard enough for him to say goodbye to his little boy. I don't think he needs another goodbye. He is actually excited about going. You're right, Uggs, I have plenty to keep me busy. Sending you positive thoughts for your son's safe return Sue.
Know how you feel my son was in the Australian Army for over 15 years. He did a lot of tours overseas and I worried every time.
But he loved it and would still be in the Army but he was posted to another unit and would not go so elected to get out.
