Poor you Dawnie, the yogourt really helps with thrush so I was hoping it would help with the ulcers too.
Corsodyl is good but can stain your teeth which is a big disadvantage.
I would think the honey especially Manuka altho it is very expensive, is really worth while getting for all things needing help with healing. It is working wonders on a neighbour's leg ulcers.
Will put the restless legs thing in the post tomorrow.
Do hope you can get some relief soon for the ulcers.

I would splash out on a jar of Manuka honey, Dawnie. I got it for my friend when she was going through chemo, and it really did get rid of her mouth ulcers. Plus it is delicious to eat! BC XX

Corsodyl. Buy it from the chemist. It is quite expensive, but available on prescription. Used it when I had mouth ulcers during chemo, and can vouch for it.

Sympathise with you D.
Hope they go soon.

Corsodyl very good, sometimes mouth ulcers are caused by lack of minerals, maybe you could take mineral supplements.

The simplest relief for mouth ulcers is pure pineapple juice it has a natural healing enzyme which soothes and heals
sip it through a straw and hold it in the mouth for as long as possible

There is a theory that mouth ulcers can be caused by a vitamin B deficiency.
Apart from bonjela and corsodyl, there are a couple of other medications that can soothe the pain. Adcortyl in orabase, and corlan pellets. Corlan pellets were prescription only, but I seem to think you can buy them over the counter now. The downside of them is that you are supposed to balance them over the ulcer and let them dissolve.
You can't cure ulcers, only soothe the pain until they disappear naturally - approx 10 days.

Hi

Another thing my dad had with his mouth ulcers was Defflam which I bought over the counter in Boots but came fro the dispensary and also something else recommended by practice nurse but didnt give it to my dad was an Oral paste, again your pharmacy shouldbe able to know what that is, its a thick paste apparently and should also help.

Regards

Jayne

It could be that you are allergic to something you are eating. I can eat an orange two days running, but if I eat any more I will get amouthful of ulcers. Strong cheese will do it for some people. Salt water gargle with a little bicarbonate of soda added may help. Jean

Dawnie, yes it's really hard to hold a mouthful of yogourt in your mouth without swallowing it down lol
Would be a good party game lol
Hope you get something to help the discomfort soon and find out why you are getting them.
Take care
