today. I saw a few people buying turkey for today. I am just going to do a normal roast but i did get the sausages with bacon wrapped around them.

Do you go to extra lenghts as it's easter. I don't. Gosh when do women ever stop we seem to spend all our time cooking cleaning and looking after kids.

Don't you think it's time women had a break.

Hi, I am having a break today. Hubby taking me out for dinner. Went round a friends last night, she has bought a turkey for Monday. All her family going, she has 13 for dinner I suppose a turkey is good value as it feeds lots.

Not booked anywhere, just taking the dog out for long walk in the country & will find a pub somewhere. No, it is'nt cheap anymore but we don't do it very often so hang the expense of it.
Enjoy your day,
Hilary.

Oh bless you Maz. I would quite happily swap going out today to cook a dinner for my sons. Both live abroad so won't be seeing them. Last time we were together was christmas, never know when the next time will be.

Having Pork Chops, I can smell them now, slowly cooking in the oven, with roast leeks.

Hubby going to scrub the new potatoes, and will have broccoli and cauliflower.

Off to see how things are in the kitchen

No point in having turkey here as children dont like it prefer chicken so we are having

Roast lamb or Chicken
Roast spuds, stuffing
Carrots, swede, broccolli,
yorkie puds and gravy

Pud is a peach bakewell tart children will probably have ice cream or yoghurt

One extra home for weekend - baked large ham yesterday - had ham, eggs and chips - the rest of which there is a lot will slowly disappear over the next few days. Today in the oven roasting as we speak is a large piece of British Beef on the bone. Leftovers probably eaten with homemade chutney and pickles!

Lamb and all the trimmings on Easter Sunday... we share the cooking.... and on Easter Monday we have bubble and squeak with the left overs... love it!! There should be enough lamb to make a curry, as well, for Tuesday.

Love
