We will never hear the last of Heather Mills - she will keep popping up from time to time whinging on and on about what a rough deal she has had - a complete lack of class and common sense - Paul has been remarkably quiet through all this - yes he is older, but she is old enough to know better and she should be a much better role model for her little girl - God help that child is all I can say - Heather is so self-centred, all me, me, me and poor me. I hope we have heard the last of her but I won't be holding my breath

Well all I can say is that Paul never before, until Heather put pressure on him after Beatrice was born, saw the need to employ security. He has now reverted to those practices.

I always recall him being inteviewed on radio many many years ago and asked why with all his money his children went to the village school. He replied that Mary (Linda's daughter) went to a private school and was getting too big for her boots so they put her in the state system and later her siblings followed suit. The state system had been good enough for him.

When Mary passed her driving test she asked for a car - Paul agreed - only apparently Mary had the trantrums when he presented her with a secondhand mini!
His reply to her it was more than he had had at her age. As a parent I applauded him. Paul managed very successfully to keep his personal life private as did George Harrison.

Ok he was grieving, lonely and vulnerable and a young woman made a beeline for him. His family did not like her - maybe they felt it was too soon - maybe the age gap who knows but we all know what happens when we advise our children not to go out with so and so! He has paid dear for his mistake and I do not mean in monetary terms - he has not heard the last of Heather's rants in public.

I think and its only my opinion, but yes most divorces should be kept behind closed doors....... but then when most people get married they do it for love ..... I think she did it for the fame and fortune and the divorce payout and ensured she was with child to make it stick.

Is Heather calculating yes. Controlling yes. Reading through the court papers she had her hand in his wallet from day one.

I think most celebrities as deluded to the real word as they are do honestly believe they are in love. This was just a calculated trap.

And she is now most upset that we can all see and read the courts findings.

I had thought maybe Macca wanted them covered up and she wanted them open - but having read them I was very very wrong.

I agree with everything Jeans has said...

I don't have anything against Heather or indeed Paul, although Heather could have shown some decorum in the past few weeks, regardless of how she has been treated - albeit not good by the media.

Paul obviously loved Heather or he wouldn't have married her but Pauls children and Linda's ghost haven't helped their relationship.

It's quite sad really.

Yes Kay knowing how the media loathe her why get pictured with her mouth opened all the time as they are not going to print anything in her favour, so why doesnt she just keep a dignified silence. Why ? Coz she can't.

Yep many the times I thought she still carries a torch for him as thats when he left her when the porn pics came out. I know we have made mistakes like our past.

The way I see it,,,,,,,,,,

She deeply loves Paul still and is a woman scorned,,

But she is not shy about telling how it is from her side,,,,

Would anyone be saying anything if she had walked away from court and not uttered a word ,,,,,,maybe some would be saying,,,,,

is that all she got 24 mill,,,,,,,,for what hes worth she should have got more,,,,,,!!,,,,,,

I dont know why the media dont leave cases like this alone,,,,,,,,a couple got divorced--- its a private matter,,as is every divorce case,,,,,,,,

Silly Sausage Report 19 Mar 2008 20:48

If I was famous .....I dont think I would have to justify myself for wanting to divorce what business is it of anyone's but theirs and as for defending her daughter against who or what ?

David yes the press has been very anti Mills since they got together. I even felt sorry for her myself at first.

I also felt when it was reported that Paul has instructed her when they got engaged that she kept her trap shut whilst they did interviews as he knew more what tosay was a little controlling now I see why.

as I read somewhere it takes two to comitt (sp) to marriage and it take two to break it-

but i did only read that!!!!!!!!!!!!

but it's like I said who knows what goes on behind the scenes-no one will ever know that only them.

at the end of the day she has a daughter to bring up and if they both have any sense they will look at HER best interests and work together to love and support this child-

god knows I did it with nothing!!!!!!!!!!!

Its not a one off though with her is it....lol everytime she steps outside the door. I think she has tried to use the media.....silly girl....and as I said in an early post maybe Paul is has 40 odd years more experience than her.....it showed her inonday even doing the peace sign with 2 fingers.....like he does...or she was telling him to peace off.....lol

I suppose it could be argued that Heather McCartney has at times defended herself for her daughter's sake. Given the way the media has been anti Heather since she and Paul McCartney got together, I think if I was in her shoes I might want to stand up for myself and try and get my point of view across for myself and for my daughter. Hasn't worked in her favour but that doesn't mean the intention was necessarily wrong.

Jean Durant

Jean Durant Report 19 Mar 2008 20:33

Well said Catherine.

As someone who engages mouth before brain
at times I can empathise with Heather.

No-one made McCartney marry her. He managed it all on his own even though the media made sure he was left in no doubt as to her past.

I don't know when McCartney achieved sainthood. I must have been out shopping at the time because I missed it.

It takes two to tango and we have no idea what went on behind closed doors.

I personally don't think the marriage stood a chance from the start. Not because of him or her but his children(:

Jean.

Did it not???? lololol Who was I then???? I hope I was Kylie !!!!!!!!!!! lolololol

I agree 100% Hayley re the Gascoigne case. Fair play to Sheryl for giving it to charity though. I also agree that Heather has courted the publicity with her GMT appearance etc so has to an extent brought it on herself.... Poor Beatrice hasn't though.......tis their fault totally. I have sympathy for neither. Just the child.

However, like you say.........two sides to every story......and I bet Mr M isn't squeaky clean either....just more media savvy.xx

Catherine your opinion mate and your allowed..( coz I am in a good mood ).lol

Sorry but I don't see her as a poor women hounded, was she dragged on to TV to do an interview ? Did she have a gun in her back...when she was shouting her gob off outside court..and surely she has some morals in a court room....I think this is about Heather more than whats best for her daughter but thats me....lol

Muffy as I said it could be all his money but still her gob would be going....I dont really have anytime for Paul McCartney but I do think his children should feel proud of his conduct through out this hearing...

Joy

Joy Report 19 Mar 2008 20:28

Disregarding the rest of the court hearing, I was, to put it mildly, surprised that she was allowed to behave like that in court.

Silly Sausage

Silly Sausage Report 19 Mar 2008 20:23

Muffy ~~~~~For some reason Your name didnt show Muffy...lol Evening everyone...Wasn't very lady like was it Joy ?

If you think back to when Cheryl Gasgoine left Paul she sold her story and gave the money to the charity for Abused Women who suffered at the hands of violent husbands or partners. Paul went to the high court and got it not stopped but only bits could be printed. He said it was'nt in the best interest of the children. I again said well no ones knows what goes on behind closed doors he could of and it MAY not of been that bad. Years later he went to write a book telling the story in his own book....what about the children then.?

Catherine from Manchester

Catherine from Manchester Report 19 Mar 2008 20:20

sorry but don't agree mate-feel this poor woman has been hounded every step of the way-and why cos she is married to an icon we love----- who knows what he's really like? do any of us do? I certainly don't ?
I don't always think she has gone about matters the right and correct way and things could have been handled better-but at the end of the day she is a mother with a child to bring up-oh I'd hate to look back at some point and see news articles of my mother being slagged off.

The press have hounded her and I feel she has been left a broken unhappy woman-she will fight for what she can get and I don't blame her-

I don't always agree with some of her comments but I feel alot of them are said in the heat of the moment. and the one comment for me that stands out is the fact that the judge said she was a good mother-

gets off soapbox-sorry but just my opinion!!!!!!!!!!
