our son was three just after we lost mam,
he remembers some details, but doesnt talk about it,
he just chats about mam now and then, now hes 17 he has pics of her in his room on his notice board,

They are all flying over to Luxembourg for the funeral, in fact, they will be on their way now. They weren't going to take her, and I was going up to look after her. I think that is what had spooked her badly, and made her panic so much, but they have agreed that it would be better if she went, too.. my son and DiL have explained to her that they are going over to say goodbye to Grandad R cos he has gone to be an Angel.. bless her little socks, she is so excited now, as she has just been *promoted* in nursery to the Tigers group... and thinks it is something like that.. she is going to sing him Twinkle Twinkle little star!!

She was very worried that her Bampie (my OH) might want to go away and be an angel, too... but she has chatted on the phone to him, and she is now reassured. Bless her!

Thank you everyone, I think she will be fine, now. I think everyone on that plane is going to be right fed up with Twinkle Twinkle little star.... but it was almost Bob the Builder, which is her absolute favourite, lol!!

Its so confusing for the little ones at times like these, I dont know if you are a religious family but when my children had to go through this I told them that their nan (my mum) went to heaven with baby Jesus cos he needed an Angel to help him look after all the children waiting to be born, It gave them comfort and even now they are a bit older they still think of that story.
