have quite a few waiting to replace the ones which have been in for over TEN YEARS!
We get them people who are looking after the disabled.... and people who are looking after the aged.... we come under both.
I have given some to my son in the past, do not know if he uses them.
I know they are not in his livingroom lights.

SO MUFFY..... did you buy up the whole if TESCO'S stock? ;-0)

Just looked on the box, no timers, dimmers or enclosed spaces/shades. Still dont know why though.

Youve not to put them normal bin either.
There was something on tv about them being dangerous if broken near children....something thats in them. They then said it would have to a lot of bulbs to cause harm.

I know it says that you cant use them in timed lights but we have them in our dusk to dawn outside lights and they work fine

♥~Muffy! ~♥

♥~Muffy! ~♥ Report 15 Mar 2008 17:58

Just reading on the box that they last 6 yrs if used for 2.7hrs a day....... well my living room lights are on for much longer than that !!! doesn't say anything about disposal on these. Just that they can't be used for timers or dimmer switches or for photo cell circuits (whatever they are) xx
