LOL well I'm not one for those kinds of things, can't bring myself to go to a family history fair or anything like that.

I do wonder if it connects with the toys you had (or rather didn't have) as a child.

I find myself more and more wanting toys to play with, we didn't have a great deal growing up. My brother is hooked on games consoles. I think it's trying to make up for what we didn't have. I had a barbie town house thing but it wasn't as pretty as some of the wooden dolls houses I'd seen. Or maybe it's because I'll never own a beautiful house like that so want one in miniature.

Night, hun ~~~~~~~~~

Whatever you do DONT go to a fair Summer or you will be hooked .there is nothing you can think of now that you can't get for a dolls house. The hobby is so addictive, it's a toss up when I wake up between dh or genealogy. You can tell I'm retired but not enough hours in the day........

I was watching Torchwood and now watching Dexter.

A belated night to Hayley and co. ~~~~~~~

I'm not a doll's house owner, but I had thought about them before and always admire them in the shop here that sells them. Just don't have the room to even go there. My other hobby is collecting Bad Taste Bears. Unfortunately, their parent company just went into administration, though they're hoping to save the BTB line. Not that you wanted to know that LOL.

I make most of my furniture out of mountboard for my roomboxes as most of the stuff in them I do try to be all my own work. I like to buy" better" stuff for my houses but make all the other things myself. I love making jewellery and perfume bottles and I make all my own Chandeliers as they are so expensive, and all light fittings.

So did I. I was terrified but mine turned out fine as well.
I have made furniture but am not good with wood. I find it difficuld with the scale to get two pieces the same length. Lol and by the time I have sanded them to fit it's 1/24th scale !!!!!!!

No, but would like to do so maybe when cats are more settled. There is a club in Glossop, two villiages away from us I found this out just before Christmas when we had our Model Railway Exhibition in the hall where the dolls house people hold their meetings once a month. I like sewing and a challenge, so make everything I can but have not attempted furniture just bedding, table cloths with croched lace edging etc. clothes etc., made a new wig for the lady I'm redressing came out quite well if I say so myself.

Unfortunately no we have recently adopted two brothers, ginger and white tom cats and we have no one near enough to look after them, trusted neighbour with my last cat when we went to Maple Street dolls house museum inn Cambridge and stayed over came back she hadn't seen him all time we were away and we found him dead. don't want to put these two in cattery yet as we got them from RSPCA and they are only just overcoming their nervousness. we have to stay over when any distance as OH likely to get DVT if in one position too long. we usually go to all local fairs the farest away being Pudsey when at home and Leighton Hall when we're at the caravan. what area are you in?

I love the cranberry glass. I sent to Dana in the states for 4 dolls last year and had great fun putting them together but don't like sewing but all her clothes are glued and they look fantastic. I love making things and only buy things I cannot make.
