Hun, you really do need to get checked out if there's a chance it could be your appendix.

Hayley, listen to Mother! If it is painful and you are bloated on one side it may not be trapped wind, if it was it would have shifted by now. please, please go and see your doctor.

Pehaps the change of water has made you constipated. Could a nice hot curry be the cure?

Hayley, can you ease the pain by moving gently or taking pain killers? I wondered when you first mentioned it whether it was a kidney stone, that is an excruciating pain that you can't alter, even if you stood on your head, now there's a thought!, as the pain is inside the kidney.
Do go to the doctor or a and e, silly to be in pain when you could get sorted quickly.
Hope you feel better soon,
Lizxx

I thought about kidney stone too Liz as my son recently had one. i thought the pain was more in the back and stomach though but not sure. i really think you should ring NHS direct Hayley, to put all our minds at rest.

Hayley do something about it now! We don't want to hear you have been rushed off in a neenaw!

Doh, silly me, is that what you are waiting for, a dramatic entrance to a and e? I am sure your hair and nails are fine, just go to get checked.
