I have to use the same things all the time too, i use fairy washing powder and the pure conditioner. I only have a little on my elbows at the mo its normally my scalp thats worse.

I did have uvb treatment a few years back when it was very bad but you can only have it if there is a certain percentage of your body covered and im too afraid to use a normal sun bed as I am a red head and there is history of skin cancer in my family, so id rather have flaky head than that.

Maggie I used that before it didnt suit me, I seemed to have a rebound effect from it like you do if you use steoid based treatments.

Im using dovonex scalp solution on it at the mo which stings like mad but does seem to be helping a bit but is so hard to use when you have as much hair as I do lol

Ive had to crop my hair in the past cos of it but im hoping having it cut into a short bob will be enough this time.

But yes the sun does help so much, maybe I should hint to me OH to take me on holiday as we dont get much sun here in Wales lol

Well the appointment is booked for 2pm today so im gonna be brave and get it lopped off.

Just hope I dont make a fool of meself and cry when shes doing it lol

They have the most wonderful wigs these days Jax....... they look so real too.....a chance to try another colour and hairstyle while your hair grows back....go for it...cut it all off.....get your scalp treated.....must be awful for you.

I get eczema on my scalp and use the T Gel medicated shampoo its so much better than that coal tar stuff you get from the doctors.

Oh dear I have never had this but worked with someone who did and it did not look pretty at all. It must be bloomin awful.
