Roy Wood from The Move/Wizzard. He used to frequent the Chemist I worked in, Aldridge Staffs. I actually helped his Wife to decided what type of Scholl shoes she was going to buy, she bought two different types. Roy was a very very nice man, he pulled up often in a lovely deep purple Jenson, and he had no Airs or Graces. This was around 1973.

But I also snogged Davey Johnson, well before he joined Elton John. Not going into that whatsoever.

Me and Hubby occasionaly sit with Ray Laidlaw of Lindisfarne and someone who was in Billy Ellliot film but wont name names.

Sorry!
I used to work in 5* London Hotels, one of which hosted the BAFTA's and similar events all the time. That's where I've seen/met most of these people.

BUT I would gladly trade them ALL in for a brush past Colin Firth!!!!!!!!!!!

K x

P.S. Come to think of it, I've seen quite a few famous folk at Heathrow airport!

Derek, I must confess to being utterly jealous that you met Jennifer Ehle and more particularly Colin Firth (Mr. Darcy) - when I was eleven and Pride and Prejudice was on TV, I had my first proper (pre-teenage crush) on him. I also remember being "devastated" when I read in the paper that he was engaged.

One of the most fab people I met was David Bellamy - it was a big launch event for a wildlife trust and I was organising the press and filming side which also involved interviewing him. He remembered him and his brother playing with my dad before thw war - very special!

I used to play jazz piano at the Cavern, and knew the Beatles, Swinging Blue Jeans,Merseybeats etc.In fact they all used to fill in for us as supporting groups,as the Cavern was originally a jazz club.

Had a conversation with the Duke of Kent at a launching of the Holyhead lifeboat.
Saw Charles an Diana when they went the same night to see Aida at Earls court.
