If you get a extra second controller it works out cheaper buying Wii Play (controller & game). controller on its own is £30, Wii Play is £35. But you have to pay extra for a nunchuk (£15).

I've just got back from Argos - treated myself to 2 new games, Tomb Raider Legend and Eledees. They are £20 each or 2 for £30.

Muffy dont feel guilty im sure your whole family will get use out of it. We had ours the first christmas they came out and have had hours of fun on it.

We have tournaments on the sports games, im still the unbeaten bowling champ lol

Raving rabbids is another fun game and the mario ones are a fave here but my personal fave is zelda twighlight princess which is a role playing game but im a geek and have been playing zelda games since they first started.

Thanks Mandy. My mum said she's going to buy a second controller so she can exercise with me.

I feel a bit guilty about getting one in a way....... BUT I've heard such good things about them...... and I usually spend my phone upgrade money on a posh handbag so this makes more sense in the long run.

Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it lol xx

I bought one for the family for Christmas and we are all totally hooked now.

Dad reckons it's good post-stroke therapy for him lol! I managed to whack him on the arm in tennis but we haven't had any other injuries (so far!).

You might want to get a second controller later on to save swopping it between you, but the sports game that comes with it will keep you occupied for ages. We've only just ordered a second game.

Mandy :)

Yeyyyyyyyyyyy I've been given the green light for getting one !!! *excited*

Just been on Amazon and they have the console, the controller, the sports game and the nunchuck thingymejiggy.

Is that all I will need to start me off does anybody know? Cos there are hundreds of other bits on there that I'm not sure are essential ?? xx

My son got one just after Christmas, he was planning to get a decent carpet for his flat but ended up treating himself to a Wii instead. Haven't had a go on it yet, but might go round this coming week and try it out.
Hope I don't end up with a nosebleed or a broken finger !

I'm surprised he's not eager for a game console to play on himself... what sort of bloke is he? lol.

Go into comet or somewhere and haggle then down on the price then you can tell him what a great deal you got lol. Then tell him it's his birthday pressie lol.

Muffy

they are brilliant fun, Oh got me one last Sept for my birthday even tho birthday isn't until Nov LOL
I had looked at them and thought ooohhhhh i fancy one of thise, but never acted upon the impulse. until on day I had a go on a mates.... thats it I was hooked. OH was doubtful until we got it and he had a go, then he was hooked too.
So the trick is to get him to have a try on a mates??? then hopefully he'll be hooked and gladly get you one!!

Grandson has a Wii, his little 5 year old sister likes to play as well. She is so energetic that when 10 pin bowling she hit him in the nose (he is 11) and gave him a bad nose bleed. he stays out of her way now.
