My son has just bought a moped just for the number plate... travelled all the way up North to get it too.

I reckon he's puddled.

makes yer larf dunnit!!! they sell these numbers...........on the condition that you dont manipulate the fonts or spacing........what ELSE do people buy them for?

I have a special one.......but I would say that unless you were in the know(club) so to speak..you wouldnt know..... but several cars with the same letter number combination, but different prefixes...would stand out..........

Hello Bob,

Nothing yet.

We know the police are 'on the case' so to speak. My son has obviously scared the person off as it hasn't been seen since. (He chased it to get the reg no.)

I'll keep you posted :o)).

Contacted the police who have knowledge of the car... and now have the number plate.

The house is in a very remote area on a farm, this is where the car is hanging about. It's my boy's and their fathers home.
The most distubing thing is that the occupants of the car are possibly using the internet connection that hasn't been protected. (EX thought he would be ok being as though he lives miles from anywhere).
He has found some rubbish bags near to where it has been parked up and the police are very interested now.... and have asked him to keep the internet connection open.... scarey or what!

Bob
Yes the X is Lincoln (R-Y) which is the local office for Boston.

Bobtanian

Bobtanian Report 21 Feb 2008 10:51

Well..I never knew that ........thanks for that info, L-d,

I have FX...... registered in Boston, lincs
Bob

LD

LD Report 21 Feb 2008 10:37

The area of registration is determined by the first 2 letters of a number plate. The first letter determines the area
A - Anglia
B - Birmingham
C - Cymru (Wales)
D - Deeside
E - Essex
F - Forest & Fens
G - Garden of England
H - Hampshire and Dorset
K - Kettering
L - London
M - Manchester & Merseyside
N - North
O - Oxford
P - Preston
R - Reading
S - Scotland
V - Severn Valley
W - West of England
Y - Yorkshire

So CX would be C = Wales, X = Bangor (W-Y)

The second letter denotes the local DVLA office

Bobtanian Report 21 Feb 2008 10:28

C= s X=ex 5=s 3=e?
therefore SEXS(e)
????
Bob
