I think it is most wines, red does it more than white but even cider does! Good job I am not that bothered with alcohol, can take it or leave it and as I mostly have to drive due to o.h.'s problem with headlights at night when driving, I don't drink that often. I suppose I could start building up a tolerance level lol or maybe I should go back to drinking vodka, my favourite tipple when I was on the social scene!

Liz have you made a note of what causes the reaction? Is it certain types of wine? Just wondering cos if you can identify certains brands you could avoid those and stick to ones that you don't react to.

I have a bottle of red wine sitting looking at me, we opened it on Valentine's night to go with our meal and the first few mouthfuls had me red faced and with my throat red and itchy! I have noticed over the past few years I have this reaction to alcohol, but not all the time. It is embarrassing when we go out so I usually just have cider but even that does it sometimes.
Am not usually allergic to anything so don't know why this happens, maybe because I don't drink that often and my body needs to get acclimatised again lol
The redness and itchiness disappears after an hour or so.

i have been meaning to open a bottle of wine the last few nights and till not got round to it, and its too late now, maybe tomorrow, i wll have to put the bottle where i can see it easily :))

We had marriage counselling on Tuesday so Wednesday and Thursday were the fall out days!

Frday was just about normal day and today was avoidance day.

My 17yo asked me at 4pm if I fancied going out for pizza, oh was out on the soccer run at the time so we hotfooted it out of the house. At 7pm, we were just parked and OH txt to say dinna was on the table....oops.!"

NEway guilt consumed me after we finished our 'pizza' and I bought yummy dessert.

Got home to find he had even considered me enuf to buy a bottle of wine.

Just on my second glass of wine. Bit brassed off tonight, OH was supposed to cook me my Valentines steak tonight, I didn't get home from work until 11pm on Thursday and he was to bladdered to cook it - I had prepared veg etc before I went to work.

Came home from work tonight and he was crashed out on the couch!!

To make matters worse I had to add ice to the wine because he hadn't even bothered to chill it. lol

Oh woe is me and oh woe is he tommorrow !!

My drink of choice sc preferably with lime and lemonade although I have been known to forget to buy the lime lol This time I had it in but forgot to put it in the drink *rollseyes*
