He'll not change no matter what - seen it before. If you can leave him I can only suggest sooner rather than later. I reckon he is heading for major health probs. If he drives over the limit how soon before he involved in an accident, perhaps injuring others.

Deanna, i was shocked to read your piece about
temporal artiriaritis , i had a blood test come back with that while in hospital last year,
they did another straightaway, and it was ok,!
but i get horrendous head aches, i feel so laime sometimes saying to people when thye ask, that my head is so bad, but the pain can be horrendous
theyve put it down to fibromyalgia since brain scan
but had bad bout again new year and last week, and one in between some where,
ive never heard it mentioned before the name you said

Irene, he is on the soluble aspirin now and has an apptmt with consultant on March 13 which I shall attend too, as he will forget what he is told, or not tell me the truth.

For Valentine's I got him a box of Maltesers, and a bag of Monkey nuts, his favourite and very appropriate lol He ate them all in a couple of days, didn't even give me a Malteser but scrounged one of my dark chocolate hearts he got me and also a couple of my other chocs, can't remember what they are called but very rich dark choc with soft rich choc fillings, like footballs in shape. I managed to stop him getting my Thorntons chocolate hearts, which I am still eating slowly. He then went to the shop and got himself a box of the rich chocolate 'football' chocs and altho shared a few with me, has eaten most of them himself. If that isn't greedy I don't know what is! So I am going to let him eat what he likes and do what damage he wants to himself, no longer my problem.
Carole, was very tempted to push him over the cliff on his birthday, we went to the coast where there is a lot of erosion and he always goes close to the edge so one day.......
ps. I make sure I hold the car keys lol

Jule Ann, they should have done a biopsy on your temple.
It is a tiny little piece of skin .
They can't really tell by a blood test.
Your ESR must have been high, which is why they perhaps thought it.
If your headaches are EVEN HALF as bad as mine were, you need to follow it up.
they are dreadful.
I have had them for as much as 9 days, and then it took me a week sometimes to recover.
I did not have the biopsy.
My doctor got such a fright when he saw the photo of the back of my eye that he put me on the steroids right away.

You go back love, it is not a TINY LITTLE HEADACHE,..... you are in agony!!

btw, o.h. told me I had got it wrong when I said about the blood clots, apparently he hasn't got those, he has enlarged blood vessels or something, in his head! Still sounds a problem to me.

I was in a similar position to you. My husband had vasucular problems and just ignored everything until it was too late.despite warnings from doctors. his first minor stroke was at 44 then he had three major ones and died shortly after his 50th birthday. if he won't listen there is nothing you can do about it!

Jennifer, I am sorry you lost your husband in that way.

K. is 54, doesn't smoke but as I have said, has a secret drink problem and stuffs himself with everything fattening despite my efforts to the contrary. When I first knew him over 30 years ago he was young and slim, then when I met him again he was fairly slim, but it wasn't till later he told me had had just finished a crash diet, stupid idiot. Over the last 11 and a half years we have been together we have both put on lots of weight, he does buy lots of fattening things and I have become so much less active due to the fm, cfs and osteoarthritis in both knees, but he never even moves fast. If I call at his works for any reason, I see him ambling about, I bet he drives everyone mad, as he will never hurry. He is never brisk, if you know what I mean, does everything at a slow pace, he has always had bad memory problems and gets stressed about lots of things like people coming to this country when he thinks they shouldn't, and stuff on the news sets him off in a tirade of abuse. He is so bolshie, thinks he is some kind of wonderman who won't be dictated to, but in reality he is just bl***y stubborn. I think it will be his downfall. Hopefully I will get away before things get too bad, his sons can take over with the care of him, he puts them before me in every way now.
