	One very obvious example.....John Bird who founded the Big Issue..... "Bird was born in Notting Hill, London in 1946. As a child he experienced homelessness and spent several years in an orphanage. In June 1995 Bird was awarded the MBE for ‘services to homeless people’ and in 2006 he received the prestigious Beacon Fellowship Prize for his energy and originality in raising awareness of homelessness and his support of homeless communities worldwide."

	People like pedophiles should not be released, in my opinion, Of course they are going to say they are cured, to get out and do it again! I am sick of hearing that a known pedo who has been released has ended up murdering a child or children!

	A good question Rose, but difficult to answer perhaps a new offender could be rehabilitated but child abusers and child murderers along with a few other really nasties would never change ... ...in my opinion.

	It depends on the crime. only a qualified psychologist could really know the answer. In my opinion there are some criminals who are beyond help and who need to be locked up for life.

	in truth not so much a debate as a 'discussion' lol...since crime and punishment seem to be the topics of the day.......( go on Keith add to this?!) Does anyone believe in the possibility of 'rehabilitation'? the 'leopard changing its spots' ? I am not offering an opinion just yet lol...nor am I talking about anyone in particular ( or any type of crime in particular). Rose xx
