Ros, that's totally on my wish list, what's it like?

Terry Pratchett is fab, I would listen to the audio books while on the coach home from uni and back. I can't read as I get sick so I listened instead and people think you're batty as anything when you're tittering away at it. Very funny and Tony Robinson does a fantastic job reading them on audio.

I enjoy Kathy Riechs. I like the TV series Bones too but have to keep the two separate in my head as they completely messed with the original concepts.

Also Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series...they had audio books on offer in a book store my best friend worked in, a pound each so I bought the first seven in the series and was hooked.

Just got into the Dresden Files, if anyone likes to combine mystery with a bit of fantasy. He's a modern day wizard who's also a private detective. A very adult Harry Potter but in a not quite so adorably moral way.

I loved Harry Potter and I might have been at ASDA at 12midnight to collect my copy of book seven *ahem*

OH bought it for me for Christmas Maddie Moo. Much to the amusement of some of my mates who don't get my love of history one bit.

It detailed the 9 kids she had and her relationship with each. It was by John Van Der Kiste and was very well written.xx

Oohh what was the one about Queen Victorias children ...that sounds up my street.

I never forgetDonkeys ago studying History at college and had a new lecturer he didnt last long the first two subjects by my lecturer where 1) Advising everyone Queen Vic was responcible for Homesexuality being illegal but Lesbianism legal ...you can follow his theory and 2) was all about the marquis de sard, we had a new lecturer after then as well!!!

I`m reading John Barrowman`s book -isn`t he just gorgeous , annoying thing though he puts small numbers at certain things with the description at the bottom of the page , wonder if it`s cos his sister co-wrote it and she`s a lecturer in English!!

Yep I'm the same Maddie Moo

I am often partial to a bit of chick lit. I like Marion Keyes, Patricia Scanlan and even Jilly Cooper cos she makes me laugh and I have a 20yr crush on Rupert Campbell Black lol.

I enjoy historical novels.Especially those that have an element of time travel in them...... Hence my liking for Barbara Erskine and Diana Gabaldon.

I also read a lot of non fiction history books. Last one was about Queen Victorias children which I really enjoyed. xx

I chop and change what I read Muffy like a typical woman!!

I am happiest with a Thriller like Deaver or Cornwall - but have the odd moment where I like a chick flick like Marian Keyes and in rare moments I like a highbrow book - I have been working my way through the 'Classics; for the past few years but still cant get into Dickens! Although like G Green, Steinbeck and others of same note.

When I am under pressure and stressed Pratchett is a great read to switch off from life and I do also like a good biog or auto biog but as with all books I have to be in the mood.

As for Harry Potters ....er I Have been known to be at shop for new release at 1am and buy two as OH and I argue over who will read first.......... pmpl
