Thoughts and good wishes are with you Lauralil... I have needed to give that final gift of love to a few of my boys and girls now... there will always be a little corner of your heart that belongs to Cassie. It will ache and feel empty for a while, but then the lovely memories will start to fill it back up, and they are there forever.

dogs are not stupid, they know what we are feeling before we do most of the time and she knew you loved her, take comfort in that

Poor Dylan is so confused, he's totally lost his bark.

Thanks everyone.

Devestated comes a little bit closer to explaining how I'm feeling.

I've lost my best friend and at the moment I just can't see past that. I will never find another dog like her, she was my Queen Cassie and 1 in ten million billion trillion. I know that with time it will get easier but I just wish I could press a fast forward button as this hurts like hell.

I'm going to go now as I'm probably just depressing everyone and I can't see shag all, Muffy told me this was here and I just wanted to say thanks. xx

Lauralili, so sorry to read this about your poor dog. You did the kindest thing, letting her go when she was suffering. Remember, you and your family gave Cassie the best life possible - you will meet again at Rainbow Bridge.
