Mine also Rose.......she was my best friend and I enjoyed being so close to her in the last couple of years of her life...my Dad died suddenly in 04 and I looked after Mum from that day onwards. |

Hi Anne, similar thing really...I had done a two year diploma course as a mature student , had a place at Aberystwyth Uni...American Studies...with the chance to spend a year in the US as an exchange student (I would have LOVED that). |

I know what you mean Rose. I was a mature student half way through a college course and on a work placement, I was then offered a job there too. My 82 year old dad's health started to decline, without a seconds hesitation I left to look after him. We didn't know at the time he had cancer, but I treasure all that extra time I had with him. I don't have any regrets or 'if only' because me and my dad said everything we needed to. |
