Have you got one of these new fangled mattresses on your bed?

Whats your views on them please?

Are they soft or hard?.....do they make you feel HOT?

I've only got a memory pillow. Still saving for the mattress. The pillow is hard, but moulds slowly to your head as you lie on it. It isn't hot at all. It's the best pillow I have ever had.

ps off to put my head on it. night. xx

I have the Tempur and I hate the pillow (too hard on my ears if I sleep on my side) and I prefer a regular mattress. One good thing is that I don't feel my husband moving around at night. The cover is a pain to remove and takes forever to dry. It's not too great for your lovelife either. That's one thing you won't see in reviews.

we got our daughter one of these about a month ago (shes 13)she said she has never slpet so well and gets up in the morning not feeling tired as she was before. she said they seem strange at first and take a bit of geting used to but she hates sleeping at anyone elses house now cause their matresses arent so comfy,
(btw we got it from Dreams for £169.00 and it comes rolled up...when you take it out of the packaging you leave it for about 30 mins and its ready to use).

Mine is getting delivered today coincidentally. I already have a pillow and I love it. I'm looking forward to an early night tonight and some restful sleep.

We've had ours for about a week now. Not once have I woken with the dreaded bad back, for once it's a pleasure n I look forward to getting into bed, when you turn over the mattress stays still so you don't disturb your OH, it's comfy n warm n well worth the money.

We bought a 8" Luxury Gold with 2 free pillows (not used them yet) from 'the memory foam mattress website' for £289, free delivery within 3 days. (I believe it was a sale which ended 2/2)

don't have one but I do have a feather topper and that is gorgeous - it's like climbing into a warm cosy nest every night - all snuggly!!

best thing i ever bought you shouldn need to wash the cover that often if you put a sheet or two over the matress its like sleeping in cotton wool, if you find its hot which i dont use a lighter tog quilt, i also have the full shape pillow which i use for my knees in bed and have the shaped one for head, this has stopped the pain in the neck when i wake , hope you enjoy

my daughter has a pocket spring mattress with a thick layer of memory foam on top of the springs, best of two worlds. This is what I am going to get too.

We have a mattress topper, memory foam, it is great, really comfortable and excellent for my back. The old style mattress protector goes over the topper and mattress so can't see the topper mattress needing washing very often.

Puss, be careful about spraying the mattress instead of using a cover, you could do some damage to the material under the fabric.

Must say I didn't have any sleep issues when I was pregnant like most women are supposed to have. I can't say it was the bed for sure because I didn't sleep on a regular mattress.

Regarding using mattress protectors; with the Tempur, you're not supposed to have anything more than a sheet over it because you lose the benefit of the foam.

Thanks guys n gals for your input.

Watch this space in about 2 weeks time (when new bed arrives)

Gonna make you all jealous now cos i have ordered one of those beds that sit you up and also put your legs up! Electric thingy!

You dont wanna know how much! it's from 'Dreams' and was in the sale with £900 off! Himself thought we were gonna spend a couple of hundred just ona new mattress...hee! hee!

When OH snores,i'm gonna have control of his buttons! lol

The bed is made up of two 3' ones joined together so if i want to sit up,it wont disturb his nibs....(unless i want it to! lol)

Will have to buy all new quilts n covers now.Never mind, shrouds have no pockets lol

Only worry now is.....as an after thought.....

When i put the thing up...the flippin cats will go underneath it!
Might get two squished cats by morning!
aagghh!...oh dear! :-((

Just had an idea....might put some netting around it to keep em out lol

Sleep well everyone.
