well so far I have met Daff, Jude, Star and Puss and Specky - all fabulous people - I expected Puss to be a little old lady!!! How very wrong I was - such a pretty girl and Specky a delight. Star rather shy and so so sweet. Jude as I expected, very down to earth and immediately likeable as was husband and sister. Daff - well what can I say - mad!!!!

I have met quite a few of both past members and present members of gR and have not yet met anyone I have not liked. People don't always look as I imagined of course.

Do you think you tend to imagine people as looking like people you already know or have known with the same name as the board name? e.g. I used to work with a Daff, so my mental picture is of her really. I can't explain but I know what I mean.

Got to agree, never really had expectations of anyone, but you do sort of form a mental image of how they look!

I know the first time I met people (the Guildford meet like Dee) so many people commented on my accent..............................they expected me to have an Irish one but unfortunately I dont have one!!

I think Guildford was a one off Janice, at the time (2003), it was a central point for those members who wanted to meet up...even Steven Pankhurst and Anthony Adolph and some of the Genes Team came.

You could always put a thread up asking if anyone is interested, and book a venue if you get enough people.

I forget now where we met in 2003, but it was a pub/restaurant.
