To me my other half is an oil painting but I am biased but his personality covers him from head to foot. and it is that that I fell in love with.

My nephew has a birth mark which covers half of his face he is happily married with 3 gorgeous kids and when you meet him you don't see his birth mark because his personality overtakes it.

The same with my 12 yr old daughter she to has a birth mark on her face but people don't see it cause she radiates her own look from within.

it's 100% personality for me.

sounds awful but my partner and i went to school together for five years and i never looked twice at him. in college i got to know him and then sounds a bit daft but i think someone's personality are their looks.

if someone has a nice personality it shines through to looking good too.

right about the nice bum though! with you on that one. :)

It does mate I agree completely, as do all the peeps who have added to this thread so far. SIL is a lovely girl which is why I was so surprised and posted this thread. (and her OH is a lovely guy but no oil painting so I guess its all in the eye of the beholder)

So,.... they could be right w*****s, horrible, no sense of humour - but if they are good looking then it dont matter????. That is a relationship built on nothing,Looks fade very quickly. i mean lQQk at me!! lol

Yes there may or may not be an initial attraction there but to get to know someone for who they are and to be with someone because you have made a connection with 'who they are' **their personality**, is much more deep and satisfying.
