Find Ancestors

Hi
I am trying to find the family of William Yates born 1898 Edmonton he married a Florence Butler born 1900 Lambeth. I am mainly trying to search their children, I know of 3, 1 is my late father in law Robert Yates 1928 Kensington then I have a Doreen Yates born 1931 Kensington and a Derek Yates born 1941 Brentford, but I have been told there are 2 more a Florence who I know died in a car crash about 4-8 yrs ago I havent try searching for a death as I dont know her married name. also a Duke????

Any info would be appreciated including ancestors of William.

Hi Andrew,
I never thought to look earlier than 1925 as that is when William and Florence got married, Florence is a possibillity not sure about charles as I was told a Duke but I will keep him in mind. working on the birth of Florence I might see if I can find a marriage for her.

True, as I am not sure if its the right marriage now as i cant find a spouse match I looked for William J Yates and when I tried to match it with Florence there was no Florence E Butler. I might have to start again, try and find the marriage for them, the 1 thing I am certain on is the son Robert Yates 1928-2002, I was told by family members the other children were Derek Duke???, Doreen and Florence, though I am not sure when they were born who is the oldest????

Hi all, it looks like I have the birth for William wrong too as I thought hes middle name was John but I have just looked at my late father in laws marriage cert and it says fathers name William James Yates, so Jax your 1911 census is possibly correct sorry for all the confusion.

That marriage does look correct too as Florence's middle name is Emily. Now we have got that bit correct maybe we might be able to find the children.

If it is her I cannot see a death but it may have been after 2005

same here I have been trying to search a death too I know it wasnt before 2002 as that is when my father in law died and it was after then and I remember my hubby going to funeral in devon and that was before I moved to my present address in 2006. Her and her husband died together in a car crash. so they would both be there. I might be able to find out some more info on that though so not to worry.
