Rebekka Chamberlain married George Vincent in Melcombe Horsey, Dorset on 13 February 1837. Their son James was born there in 1814. George died there in 1838. |

As with many families, the Vincents scattered after 1840. There were many just down the road in Dewlish and they emigrated to Wangaratta. My gggrandfather ended up in Sunderland and then Stockton. another lot came from t'other side of village in Folke. George could belong to either (or both!). There are almost no Chamberlains around so she is likely to be an outsider. |

Could be but I have no way of knowing unless the death cert confirms that "my" Rebecca had already been "promoted to glory". I am fairly confident that she was born in Stinsford/Bockhampton so more unlikely to be the same. |
