Could someone please help me try and find Alfred Boswell in the 1901 census I have him on the 1871,81,91 living with parents but can't find him anywhere afterwards. He was born 1870 in West Lavington, Sussex. And living at Penn dean cottage, West Lavington in 1871 with parents Henry and Sarah Boswell. He doesn't appear to marry or die either so where is he. |

The boar war was on in 1901, could he have gone into the army, if so he would not be listed on the 1901 census but try searching for army records on the national archives site |

I think I'm begining to find my way around the National archices site now have managed to work out how to see Medal cards for the 1st world war, there are a few Alfred Boswell's on there but not certain if any are mine. Still can't work out how to find out who was in the Army for the Boer war though any advice on how to go about this appreciated. |

Iv'e just spent another couple of hours trying to work out the National Archives site and still not getting very far with it. Also looked at the Boer war roll of honours, no sign of him there, but that obviously only lists who died. Any suggestions on how I might find out if was there? |
