Find Ancestors

If anyone could kindly do a look up of the 1861 census for this gentleman and family I would be gratefull.

He was born I would think in Randwick/Ruscombe poss around 1830/1840.
His wife was Sarah and he had a daughter called Ellen born 1869c.
Philip was dead at the time of Ellen's marriage to William Cratchley in June 1881.

Any further information backwards on Philip would be grate too.I know it may difficult re the name.

Emma Merrett was Phillip ans Sarah's daughter

I think I may have answered my own question re Emma Merrett .
I take it that was Emma Brown's married name with her son

Strange though that the image doesn't say that Emma is married or widowed.
Look on freebmd for a potential marriage of a Brown to a Merrett,

According to the 1861 census, Phillip, Sarah, Selina and Charles' occupation was wool hand loom weaver. Emma was listed as wool worker. They resided at Ockerhill (?).

They were all born in Stroud except for Martha (Bisley, Glous), Albert (Painswick, Glous.), and Ellen (Randwick).

In 1871 they were still all listed as wool hand weavers. Albert was listed as a stoker. The family was still residing at Ocker Hill/Ober Hill.

The 1871 census states Martha's place of birth as Painswick and Emma Brown Merritt's as Ruscombe. Little William Merritt was Randwick.
