Hi Pauline
Do you have any family who might have more info regarding the family.
What you have given me is very sparse(just your fathers DOB).
Was your father the youngest child or the eldest. If he was the youngest then the chances of finding his parents together on a census are pretty remote.
Ireally need more info before trying to look at census returns.

Hi Pauline
After much searching on the BMD indexes I have found the marriage of James Cunningham to Norah Reynolds March Qtr 1926 Bradford 9b 234.

In order to progress your family tree you must send for a copy of this certificate from GRO,it will cost £7.00.

We need all the info on the certifcate to find more important information such as ages at time of marriage, names of both James and Norah's father etc.

Get back to me when you have this information.

Merry Christmas
Mary

Mary

Mary Report 19 Dec 2007 21:17

Hi Pauline
Have you sent for the marriage cert for James and Norah???
I cannot look for a death for either James or Norah until I have evidence of ages from the marriage cert.
Cunningham is not an unusual name and without an age to help identify him I cannot be sure of finding the right person.
The most important document to get is the marriage cert, until you have that I can do no more.
As I told you the marriage cert will have the info we need to trace James and Norah.
This is not like on TV where your whole family back to the year dot is found in a 45 minute program. Many people search for years to trace their family,it cannot be done in just a few hours, you have to be patient and meticulous and check ALL your facts asnd also be prepared to spend money on buying certs to confirm your findings.
Please order the marriage cert if you have not done it already, otherwise I am unable to help you further.
