Find Ancestors

Further to my requests last night, I have more accurate information from my very elderly father now!

I am now asking if anyone can look up the 1871 census for West Derby, Liverpool - the name is Enfield Fletcher (male, born about 1814). I am looking for the household names, particularly that of his wife.

It could be Croxteth Road, not sure. (Not sure if that is West Derby in fact but that was the family home in later years so I thought I would mention it because I don't know how long the famiily had lived there).

I think his son, Enfield Emile Fletcher, was born there in Dec quarter 1876 if that is of any help. What I am seeking is his mother's name (Enfield Fletcher snr's wife, above).

I'm not too sure what your meaning, as Enfield was a Widow in 1871, have you got him in 1881

Sending for his birth certificate would give his mothers name or look for their marriage

And you should have said Thomas was Enfield Jnr's dad not Enfield snr:))

No, I don't have him in 1881 at all. I know by 1891 he had a son called Thomas Walter Fletcher; born in the early to mid 1880s....

My main search is for a French lady who was mother to Enfield Fletcher born in 1876; this presumably was Enfield senior's son I guess. Thomas Walter and Enfield Emile Fletcher were brothers and it is their mother I am seeking - and she was thought to be French, which would reflect in the Emile name too.

Perhaps could you check the 1891 census?

Our emails crossed - thanks for the info, I shall now study it! I did not know Thomas was Enfield Jnr's dad or I would have certainly said it.

Sorry I looked at the wrong year, in 1871 henrietta was born Sleby, Yorkshire and is daughter , un married. Netta Thomas's wife was born in France

Please can you tell me how to access the full details on the 1891, re street address for the family in Helsby? I am wondering if it is Chester Road. I don't want to keep taking your time up!
