could someone please look up a marrige for me for john russell who married a woman called elizabeth in possibly in grimsby anywere from 1878-1901

Grimsby came under Caister erg district up to 1897.

The only one showing for that area from 1878 is this one
Marriages Mar 1895 (>99%)

No Elizabeth but poss Mary Elizabeth.



Did he have any children cos a birth cert will tell mums maiden name

John Russell was not born until 1864..............

He was born in London area

His wife was born in Essex.

Try freebmd first for their marriage.........to find out Elizabeth's maiden name

Then go to www.familysearch.org and you should be able to find them on 1881 census.

You need to take note of the info people provide...........

Neither John nor Elizabeth was born in Grimsby, so it may be that they did not marry there
