There are several threads about these people......many of them have had replies posted..........Ben does not seem to have looked at any of them..........

and his wife elizabeth russell born 1860 i need to find were they were born! and iff poss a marrige cert

Try freebmd first for their marriage.........to find out Elizabeth's maiden name

Then go to www.familysearch.org and you should be able to find them on 1881 census.

You need to take note of the info people provide...........

Neither John nor Elizabeth was born in Grimsby, so it may be that they did not marry there

John Russell was not born until 1864..............

He was born in London area

His wife was born in Essex.

Grimsby came under Caister erg district up to 1897.

The only one showing for that area from 1878 is this one
Marriages Mar 1895 (>99%)
