Birth certificates?

hey, sorry i havent replied for a while! I have now got my grandads birth certificate which says his father was William Jesse Jarvis and his mother was Margaret Ann Jarvis (previously Bell) although it doesn't give me any D.O.Bs for them! |

You really need your grandfather's birth certificate so that you can find his parents' names....then you need that couple's marriage certificate to find their fathers' names. |

Wow i think you have found him, I didnt think i knew his middle name but seeing "William Jesse Jarvis" has made it all come back to me!!!! They used to call him jess! |

Possibly this could be your grandad in 1901 although states Glandford as place of birth image reads Standford (could be a mistranscription for Stanford), Stanford is in the Elham Kent registration district |

Oh just thought another question i had is i remember my grandad saying william Jarvis (his dad) was in The Old Contemptables, The Royal West Kents during WW1 and survived the battle of mons. |
