Not sure who Harriet is as the 1841 doesn't give relationships.

So, given there is a Thomas aged 5yrs we could assume that the father died some time in the 5 years prior to the 1841 census.

Emily is shown as being born in Cheltenham in the 1901 census.

I have a relative who lost his wife in childbirth in Nov 1862 and then married his servant in April 1863!

Ha!! Just realised that she was living in the same street as Francis so that's obviously how they met!

God he didnt hang around did he!! lol
Emma only died in 1880, Then he married Emily in 1883!! Then he died in 1904
