Rosie

Where are they on the 51 as i can't pick them up aslo has their name been mistranscribed

Sorry, should have mentioned, the surname is spelt wrong on the 1851 (hampson) & possibily on 1861 too.
I believe I have found her on ancestry for 1841, I just can't read it because I'm not a fully paid member.

Sorry once again Julie, missed this vital information:

1851 remarried, living in Barnsley, name Esther Potts, also listed are Grandchildren - Hannah Hanson 1836 (spelt Hampson on census) & Mary Hanson (Hampson)1840

Hope this helps

Ok..In the 41 you saw a Mary Hanson, who you think might be Esther

No hang on im getting confused.

What are the details of the one you think is Esther on the 1841

No, I put Esther Hanson, 1791, Yorkshire into the search and she's right at the top of the page, I just can't access it.

Rosie

I have found the 1851 and Hampson is the surname of her son in law what makes you think that it is Esthers name also

Rosie

Right. Thanks so much for tring Julie. I'll try and investigate further then.

Cheers,

Was Thomas Hampson Hannahs husband and Hannah is absent and Thomas is a Widow

Who was Thomas's wife

Rosie

Rosie Report 10 Sep 2007 11:31

Again, I think that's an error on the census, it should be stepson (to head of house Joseph Potts) and not son in law. I have marriage details for Esther & Timothy - 15th Oct 1810, Sandal Magna

Julie

Julie Report 10 Sep 2007 11:35

Rosie

Thomas is Esthers son what about Richard

It's will give me more name to play around with in the 1841

Rosie

Rosie Report 10 Sep 2007 11:40

The children I have listed for Esther & Timothy are: John 1811, Hannah, 1812, Thomas, 1816 & Richard 1832 all born in Sandal Magna, Wakefield, apart from Richard - Crofton, Wakefield.
