It looks like Caroline Moira Gregory, rather than George. She's listed as a boarder. Apologies - I should have put 69 Florence Road, not 68. |

This birth seems to fit with the census info: |

It's a bit confusing as the children seem to interchange their first and middle names. As an example - this Son uses the name Ambrose in 1881 and Sidney in 1891 |

Ok now I am confused! |

Just a theory unless it can be proved with the certs, but Louis/Alexander seem to be the same person, interchanging names as Ambrose/Sidney appears to have done. Most of the children on the 1881 census would have been of an age to have left home and possibly married by 1891. Sorry, you've lost me - where does it say Sidney was at home when he was 29? |

"But the Sidney probably wouldn't be living at home by the time he is 29" |

It appears as Ambrose T on the info page, but if you look at the image it's an S - there are loads of mistranscriptions as you can see by the few pages I've posted. As I said, it's just a theory, but everything seems to fit. |

Please forgive me Lindy, I wasn't trying to sound contradicting. Just this family has confused the hell outta me, not that it needs much to confuse me these days. |

No problem at all - I'm confused too! I've had members of my family change names at will, but not in quite such numbers. From freebmd: |
