Hi Chris, A bit of a longshot. I dont think so. I reckon I need access to 1911 Census and that would probably solve it when its widely available especially as I know the names of the younger children born after my Grandmother. Nancy, Susie (Susan) and Frank. Anyway, thanks a lot for your time Chris. It is much appreciated. Den |

One last try (I promise) it's called clutching at straws . I have found a Walter aged 25 who was born in Kent Erith Living in Bermondsey London with Margaret 25 and little Walter 9 months. Could he possibly have taken them home to Kent afterwards? Cheers Chris |

I dont think its likely. My father thinks 1896 or 1897 . Cant be sure though. I dont think there were older children than him though. |

Could young Walter have been born in 1901 perhaps and not on the census? Chris |

Hi Chris. No, the other children would have been younger although my grandmother - one of the children was born in Headcorn in 1902. I only know for sure that she had an older brother Walter and two younger sisters and that her fathers name was Walter. I know she was raised at a farmhouse which Geoff has confirmed is at West Malling. - Den |

Forgot to mention Childrens names. With Walter 9 was Millicent 19 - Ethel 10 - Charlie 21 - Daisy 11 - Mabel 8 - Albert 17. Frederick is 42 , Frances 44. Any use? Chris |

Think I may have found them. Could Walter senior have had a second name Frederick that he could have been under in the 1901 census? I have found a family in Headcorn. Let me know. Cheers Chris |

Not a pain at all Dennis - just wish I could help, but I'm afraid I don't have access to 1891. Just hope someone is looking who does. Cheers Chris |

Chris, Not sure - but my Grandmother was raised at a farm - Eden Farm - somewhere in the Malling Area near Maidstone so he may have been involved in Agriculture. Do you have access to 1891 Census? Maybe that will shed some light? Sorry Chris - hope Im not being a pain!! |

Thanks Chris. I dont think its the right family now because I know the young Walter had a brother John and 2 sisters (born after 1901) although the area is right. My father told me that Walter seniors wife had a name which begins with 'S' and it was unusual! Guess I have more searching to do!! Appreciate your efforts Chris. Regards, Den |

Chris - thanks. yes possibly although not 100% certain. If you can find the family there may be another son John and Walters wife may have had an unusual name (possibly Spanish). These are my great grandparents I am trying to find information about. Thanks again Chris |
