Thanks again Paula. Sleep well. I'm burning the midnight oil, trying to get some work done but Fh is much more interesting..... Those two you just found were Faringdon ones - I wonder if Faringdon is just the district? Thanks again Alice |

I must have anne's birth wrong! She must have been more than 12 when she married! When you get a moment can you see if you can find her birth in Bourton? I will look on the census to see how old she is there. I have a feeling Anna (Bellinger) may be a second wife. By coincidence perhaps he married 2 women called Anna. thanks for your time again Paula. Charles Newport was born in Besselsleigh Berkshire/Oxford? 1821 Mother Anne. I have not yet got details for Anna Bellinger (wife of charles)born in Bourton 1831. Would like to know who mum and dad are! Have just realised if she was born 1831 she was unlikely to have been Mum of William? Will have to check that out- Maybe Charles married twice. igot her name from lydias's birth cert. so it is possible. William born 1846 Loncott George born 1846 Loncott Albert 1849 Loncott Mary 1852 Loncott Elizabeth 1854 Ragnell Asberry Faringdon Harriet 1857 Ashbury Faringdon Frank 1859 Ragnell Ashberry Faringdon Lydia 6th April 1861 Ragnell Ashberry Faringdon James 1864 Bourton (Spellings may not be correct!) I don't seem to have your e-mail anymore! Must have just replied to your messages. Dozy or what? Alice |

Hi there Mad Alice, I had a great xmas and new year. What about you? To be honest, I really can't remember where I've already checked, so fire away!! I've just sent for the registers for Faringdon baptisms, and hopefully they'll be here towards the end of next week. AND I haven't forgotten your look ups in Shrivenham. I'm off to the RO on weds. The first time since about november, I think!!! Paula P.S. I'll take you up on some more look-ups if you really don't mind. |

They were in Loncot, Bourton, Ashberry and Faringdon. Are any of these records new? Saturday afternoon is now a regular slot at Norwich library if you want a look up! Alice |

Thanks very much for all those Paula. You may just have knocked down one of our long standing brick walls. I think the Sarah you found must be her, would have made her 28 when she got married, I was probably looking too late. Thanks again. Carolyn |

Hi Paula If you are still there and still bored could you have a look in Letcombe Bassett for a Sarah Jennaway (she married Robert Tyler there about 1764 so was probably born about 1740 ish). I've got a feeling I may have looked before but another pair of eyes might help. Thanks very much in advance. Carolyn |
