Cheers Brenda now printed the application form for my grandparents marriage certificate hopefully i will b able to get a few more forms printed off for certificates for ancesters i need thanks for the help ELLEN |

Hi Ethel If you look on the Lancs BMD you will find some marriages for Standley in Oldham and Chadderton the earliest on is in 1842 When an Esther Standley gets married at ST James Church Ther is an entry in 1851 for Richard Standley and a Violet Ward at St Mary's are these your Bren |

hi Alyson if you could try and find the marriage of RICHARD STANDLEY or STANLEYAND VIOLET STANDLEY or STANLEY nee CROSSLEY, any deaths of RICHARD , VIOLET, HARRIET, SAMUEL, MARY A, JOHN W, all STANDLEY or STANLEY and if you could see if there is any of those in the 1861 census many thanks good luck |

this is what was written on the 1871 census this is where they were in the 1871 census the Civil Parish of St Mary, Municipal Ward of Westwood but they were probably somewhere else in 1861. |

this is whaty i got from the surname look up by Denise (this thats her name) i dont know what the numbers mean though 2240-Oldham..Riley/58--155--170--183--213--225-- 254--276--290--493--572--589--615-- 661--716--728. No Standley, have given STANLEY.. 2240..324--329--330--728 2241-Oldham..Riley/ 96--163--225--605--686--687-- 713--714 not sure what area of OLDHAM they were from just got the address thats it sorry |
