Clare It wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility for John and Rosanna to think that they were responsible for giving Isabellas details when she was staying at her grandparents who rightly gave her details too. Do you have John and Rosannas marraige cert? If so is the father the same name as on the census? Andrea

Andrea - yes that's them living at 5 Shiney Row, Wallsend - not familiar with that area at all - is it miles away from Gateshead where they were in 1891?? Clare

Clare I can't even find him on the 1881. The only one I can see is John and Rosanna Blackey and their children living in Wallsend. Is that them? If so that's Northumberland as it's over the Tyne. Andrea

Esta - can't rule this out as I have several different spellings of the name - does it say who his wife was? Clare

it's a long shot but I found this John Blackey 22 Durham, Durham, England Son-in-law St Giles Durham the other family name is Watson, could this have been her maiden name?
