Helen, Not seeing them on the immigration records. They came and went between census years, however, prior to 1850 the only specific information provided was name of head of household and where they lived. Sorry I couldn't help you. Rose

Rosemary, I can see you have had a lot of demand for your kind offer! I would be really grateful if you could find any trace of the following in the immigration records: William Halsey, b.1803 Shoreditch, London Christiana Halsey (née Tickle), b.1810, not sure where They married in 1832 and went to the US, I think New York, where 2 of their daughters were born - Frances in 1833 and Charlotte in 1835. They had returned to the UK by 1838 as the duaghter born 1838 was registered in 1838 in the UK, as were all subsequent children. I'm crossing everything as I have been unable to find any evidence that they went to the US other than the place of birth of Frances and Charlotte on later England censuses. Thanks in advance for looking. Helen

Hello Rosemary, Thank you for your kind offer. I'm looking for Mary Isabel Wilkinson born 31/05/1875 in the Isle of Man. She married a Hedley Stephens and they went to America, where they were naturalised and they had a son Thomas. Unfortunately I don't have a date for Mary's wedding to Hedley nor do I have any birth details for Hedley. Mary appears on the 1891 census in England but I can't find her in 1901. Thank you, Helenxx

Margaret, Found a G H Folwell on the immigration records arriving 12 June 1888. The only problem it shows his birth about 1877. He is just listed as 'child' and doesn't seem to be connected to anyone. Unfortunately, there is no 1890 census. On the 1900 there is a Harold G Folwell, lodger, b 1873 in England, living in Brooklyn NY. with the Leary's Occupation: Secretary: Superior Court Judge Also listed is wife Evelyn. Shows year of arrival: 1884 On the 1910, he's back to using George H. and now a Lawyer. Does this help any? Rose

Christine, There's a John G Cannon on the 1861 born 1848 in Poplar Middlesex living in Poplar I can't find John Sr or Jr on the US 1870 or UK 1871. Not seeing him on the immigration records either. When did John Sr marry Eliza? I get the impression by the way she is listed on the 1881 that she may be a second wife. Rose
