EAST LOTHIAN Presuming you do Scotland - William Reid born abt. 1869 in Tranent, East Lothian, Scotland. Parents David Reid and Catherine Hogg. This information came from William's marriage certificate - he was married in Australia. I have a copy of parent's marriage certificate - Tranent, 1866. I would like to find out if he had siblings - but can find no record of him in LDS records or the IGI. Any information regarding this family would be welcome :) Can you see this family in a census or a death certificate for Catherine (parents John Hogg and Marion Fairgrieve) would be great. Thank you so very much Teresa. |

Hi, If this offer is still going I'd like to request a look-up in the National Burial Index for John Norbury. I have his death certificate from 1888, dated 24 August, age 50 in Withington, Manchester (Lancashire). I was hoping I'd find him on the local gravestones in the local St. Paul's church, but couldn't find him or any of his relatives, several of whom lived and died on Burton Road in the town during the 1870's and 1880's. I know his father George Norbury died sometime during the June quarter of 1884 in the same place - Burton Road, Withington, aged 74. There should also be a Sarah Norbury, daughter of John Norbury, again in Withington, Lancs, dying age 17 in the December quarter of 1880. George was born in Withington, CHESHIRE, so maybe he and the family were buried there rather than Withington, LANCASHIRE? If you can find any records of these three characters then I would be most grateful. Michael |
