Hi again Sally I find myself asking for help yet again. I am trying to find out where Henry John Day was born and where he was born so that I can then trace the family back. All I know about him is that he had a son called Arthur Charles Day in 1894 at Holdenhurst Bournemouth. I wondered if they are on the 1901 census which may then give me a starting point. There are many Henry Days on 1881 census but it would be absolute guess work as nobody knows his origins. Thanking you again for your past help. Claire

Hi Sally, thanks again for the offer. Having difficulty. I have obtained my grandfather's birth cert, (b 1899 William Oswald Jones) stating his father was William Jones b approx 1876, platelayer for the Railway, mother was Jane Jones (nee Parr), got their marriage cert but it doesn't have any details against William's father name or occupation. I have found a family on 1881 that could be them. It looks as though the mother had 3 children without a husband and lived with her family. could you check them out for me and see what you think. 1881 census RG 11/2672 John Johns head b 1824, Rebecca Jones daughter b 1852 John Johns son 1864 Samuel Jones son b 1868 Thomas Jones grandson 1874 William Jones grandson 1876 John Jones grandson 1881. I don't have any concrete info on the family other than my grandfather's name and where he was born. (Malpas), and his parent's names. thanks in advance for any help you can offer, Regards, Lou
