The first one is: Joseph Burnett, b. circa 1813, Low Moor, Yorkshire Naomi, Wife, b. circa 1817 North Brierley, Yorkshire Children should be: Nathan, b. circa 1839, North Brierley, Yorkshire Henry, b. circa 1845, North Brierley, Yorkshire James, b. circa 1847, North Brierley, Yorkshire Sarah, b. circa 1850, North Brierley, Yorkshire They should be in the North Brierly or Low Moor areas. The second one is: George Cooper, b. circa 1837 in Felkirk, Yorkshire Hoping to find out who is parents were, they should be in the Felkirk area as this is where George married and also his first child was born here. Hi Susan, The family of yours that Sue has found on her index i have found the image for and saved if you like. Is Felkirk near Barnsley? If so, i am afraid this census is damaged and unreadable. Regards, Claire

Thank you for the responses, and in answer to your question yes Felkirk is an ancient parish of Barnsley. Bummer about the census being damaged - struggling to find his birth in the register so was hoping to find him on the census with his parents and then at least I could give some names to the Registry to check against. Hi Roger/Bev, I am really sorry but Grindleton/Bolton by Bowland are under the Clitheroe district and on the 51 census that is in Lancashire. Regards, Claire

Hi Please can you have a look for a William Hodson on the 1851. This is a long shot. He could be in Scucoates with his wife Elizabeth and their daughter Ann. William was born 1817 in Winterton Elizabeth was born South Kelsey born 1819 (32yrs) Ann was born in Winterton and she would be about 12yrs. I know i am clutching at straws as i really thought they would be in Winterton Lincs but we cant find them there. Geoff has already looked for me. This is the only other place i know of where they could be. Thanks for your help Jane

Hi Chris, I have gone through Cayton and no Kneeshaw's at all. Scarborough is quite large to search through but a member has an index for there so i have mailed them to see if they will check this index if they have time for me. If i get a response i will post the details for you. Regards, Claire

Hi Jane, Sculoates is way too large to search with no address or anything. I have looked at your family on th 1861 census and they had a child in winterton in 1852 so i doubt they were in Yorkshire in 51. What info do you have that links them to Sculoates? Regards, Claire x

Hi Claire, Not to worry. Thank you for your help. You were chatting to Jane about Sculcoates, it might be worth her looking under Hull. Quite alot of my family are in that area, some are registered as being from Sculcoates and some from Hull. Just a thought but i hope it might help LOL Tracey
