Find Ancestors

Buckeridge St is off Bradwell St. Longnor St. Albert Rd area of Mile Emd Old Town. Can you help please. I have been trying to find my ancestors in the 1871 census. I have just received the birth certificate of a baby born May 1870 to LOUISA WILKES dob1849 at St.Lukes Lying in Hospital. City of London. and hope she is still at this address with her family in the 1871 census at 3 BUCKERIDGE STREET. MILE END OLD TOWN .EAST LONDON. She was unmarried when she had this baby, She married from South St. Stepney in February 1872. In the 1871 census she may still be with her mother Louisa Wilkes 1824, sister Emily 1854, brother William 1856, Lawrence 1852, Jessie 1847. Any help would really be appreciated. Irene

Wiles = mother and two daughters - no sign of a young baby though as no-one else in household

I think louisa could be on next page the ref is RG10/565 folio 138 page 4 Jeanette

I take that back - Wiles household the head of house is Patrick O'Hara, widow. general dealer the actual image has Catherine crossed out and then Patrick written above it

WIlbert family its a very bad image and on teh previous page the actual family looks like it says Hicks - but anyway: James. H, 49 or 44, Bethnal Green - hatter Louisa, W, 42, bethnal Green Louisa, daur, 13, St Lukes Louis W, 9, St Lukes

I'm going to have to leave this for now............I haven't found any other possibles in 1871 I did look in 1881 for more clues - but drew a blank except for son Jesse who seems to have married.........if this is him.( maybe) ........so he atleast should be in 1871 ................. I had to cook dinner for hubby and now back to find you have all been looking for me. Thank you so very much. The baby I found as Herbert Wilkes 10 months, Nurse child at Poplar in 1871 census. Father Jesse who is in 1861 census died 1865 at Duke St. Bethnal Green. Jesse his son married 1872 from 44 Cleveland St. St.Peters Stepney. Lawrence married 1875. Still looking for the family 1871. I have the Old Ordnance Survey map of Bethnal Green and Bow and was able to locate Buckeridge St. Can any kind person find it on the 1871 census please number 3. Many thanks Irene
