Find Ancestors

Could anyone lookup hetheringtons born to Thomas Hetherington and Sarah booth. I have Benjamin, Ann and Margaret but no other siblings. Brothers and sisters to Thomas would be the icing on the cake. Thanks John

Sorry Reg, it would help if I gave a date. Thomas was born in 1796 and married Sarah in 1815

Hi Reg, yes, checked the I.G.I but nothing jumps up at me. There are a few names cropping up if I just type in Thomas Hetherington and Sarah (without adding Booth) but not in Thurnscoe. There is a Joseph that is a possibility, born 1815. There is also a John Hetherington b1812 which could be Thomas's brothers son but no name listed as father although mothers christian name (Hannah) is mentioned.

As I live on the Isle of Wight, it would be difficult to travel up to a record office in Doncaster. Not sure if Thurnscoe has a record office but could someone have a peep to see who Thomas's parents were? info I have mentions 'Of Arksey-In-Doncaster' There is nothing apart from his marriage to Sarah booth on the IGI, I can't seem to find any of his brothers or sisters on there. He was born in 1796 and some records show him as 'Etherington' and 'Heatherington' but from then on the family has always been known as Hetherington. I am sure that as they lived within the 'West Riding' area of Yorkshire for over 200 years, they may have come from the 'Border Rievers', but the trail seems to have ended :-(
