Thanks - already had Charles death and found the Herbert Bobbeelie on 1871 (see my message above) These are proving to be impossible to find! |

Elaine you may already have this....... Deaths Mar 1868 BOUVERIE Charles Edward 60 Portsea 2b 257 There is also this entry on the 1871 census which could be Herbert. The image look's like Bouvelie to me.. Having just sat and trawled through the images for the Portsea Workhouse 1871 cenus have found two of them (mistranscribed as expected!) William Borwerie abt 1860 Portsea, Hampshire, England Pauper Portsea Hampshire Herbert Bobbeelie abt 1857 Portsmouth, Hampshire, England Officer Portsea Hampshire - occ. school teacher Can anyone help with the rest - please !!! This is the family in 1861 - surname has been mistranscribed -should be BOUVERIE (although the family name was also Bouverie de la Houssaye) Alfred E Bouveris abt 1850 London, Middlesex, England Son Portsea Hampshire Charles E C Bouveris abt 1809 Rhode Island, Port Royal, Jamaica Head Portsea Hampshire Charles W Bouveris abt 1846 London, Middlesex, England Son Portsea Hampshire Emily M Bouveris abt 1843 Southampton, Hampshire, England Daughter Portsea Hampshire Frederick C Bouveris abt 1860 Portsea, Hampshire, England Son Portsea Hampshire George H Bouveris abt 1853 Portsea, Hampshire, England Son Portsea Hampshire Henrietta G Bouveris abt 1824 London, Middlesex, England Wife Portsea Hampshire Herbert E Bouveris abt 1857 Portsea, Hampshire, England Son Portsea Hampshire Walter T Bouveris abt 1856 Portsea, Hampshire, England Son Portsea Hampshire William A Bouveris abt 1859 Portsea, Hampshire, England Son Portsea Hampshire Mother Henrietta died in 1865 and father Charles died 1868 The only other census I can find any of the childeren on are: 1901 Charles 1881 Herbert & William 1881 Frederick - all in London In 1883 Emily marries using the name of Bouverie de Lahousie (Portsea Island vol.2b o669) Can any one help find what happened to the children after the parents died? |
