Have found the Fish family in Manningtree, Essex as follows Mary Ann Fish aged 30 Head David son aged 11 Mary A aged 9 Sophia dau aged 7 Eliza dau aged 5 Sarah A dau aged 3 Emma dau b 1841 All the girls were born in Essex but it does not state where the boys were born. Have been unable to find any of these Fishes on Census or married referenceds What do I do next or can anyone suggest elsewhere I can look. Lin G

Found the whole family in 1841 part family in 1851 I know that Mary A aged 9 in 1841went to live in Lambeth and that Emma followed by the late 1850's, but I can't seem to find the boys after 1841. Lin

Have noted all the great info - the David died 1851 looks a possibility -Charles died 1838 - he was in the 1841 census so thats a no no. Will take in consideration that the Fish could have been mis-transcribed as Tish. Anyway cherps, thanks for your suggestions and info ttfn Lin G

Yes silly me - realise now it couldn´t have been the same Charles. Might have been the father ?? - eldest son named after father.
